2012 UJA-Fed of NY Russian Division Charity Ball

A charity event for the UJA Federation of New York took place at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in New York City.

The annual Russian Gala was held on May 10, 2012 for the UJA Federation of New York in an intimate setting of philanthropists within the Russian Jewish community and the UJA organization. Awards were given to members of both the Young Leadership Division and Russian Division for accomplishments in philanthropy.

Yelena Klurfield, a recipient of the Emerging Leaders award talked about how UJA creates a better life for people in New York City both within and without the Russian Jewish community while Diana Alperovich, board member of the Russian Division, discussed UJA’s history from a small organization to one that has thousands of members.

NY State Assemblyman Alec Brook- Krasny and the renowned perfume designer Sofia Grojsman joined to celebrate the prosperity of UJA and the success of its people in giving back to society.
