Your Special Day
Capturing it Now For
You to Remember Forever
We offer many different styles of shooting and editing. These selected video clips are our most popular types for wedding videography.
Our documentary shooting style is very much like a “fly-on-the-wall”. We believe that the bride and groom are the stars of the day and we are there to record in a candid and respectful manner. Anticipation is the key to documentary filmmaking and because of our years of experience, we can anticipate where is the best spot to record from at all times.
Our wedding video packages are only a framework; they are fully customizable. At the end of the day, the video belongs to our client and we work hard to satisfy the occasional desire to mix and match features from different packages or even create a new feature.
All packages are subject to New York State’s 8.875% sales tax.
What is your price range?
Our prices start at $1800 and all of our packages can be customized to any client’s preference.
Why is video important for a wedding?
After the wedding day is over, all that remains to relive the day are the photos and video. Wedding photographs are beautiful and wonderful but there is nothing that compares to a bride who can watch and listen to her father tell her that he loves her, when he is no longer around to do so. Video captures the people that matter the most to you and that moment is forever captured on video.
How long have you been in business?
Chris Fig Productions was founded in 2005 and we have currently videotaped over 400 weddings. Our experience makes us one of the leaders in wedding videography today.
Are you insured?
Yes, we are fully insured and can provide any venue with the necessary insurance paperwork.
Do you have back-up equipment?
Yes, we do. Every videographer has back-up gear in the event of an equipment malfunction. It is very important that we are able to continue to record the day regardless of any possible equipment failure.
What is your attire?
All of our videographers wear dark clothing. During the summer months, we may wear short-sleeve black shirts depending on the temperature. In the winter months, we are more likely to wear wool suits.
What is the difference between the Basic Documentary and Highlight Documentary?
The biggest difference between the two is production time. On the wedding day, the Basic Documentary provides 6 hours of coverage, whereas the Highlight Documentary offers a total of 8 hours of coverage. In addition, the post-production for the Highlight Documentary takes about 40 hours to complete because the raw footage is condensed into a more finessed storyline utilizing cinematic effects and the best moments of the wedding day – roughly 70% of the footage. Compared to the Basic Documentary which takes about 10 hours to produce using almost 97% of the footage.
How long does it take to the finish the video?
The Basic Documentary is completed in 6-8 weeks and the Highlight Documentary in 12 weeks.
How is sound captured?
We take great care in recording professional audio. For the ceremony, the groom is fitted with a small, unnoticeable microphone to capture the vows. And for both the ceremony and reception, a professional cardiod shotgun microphone is utilized in conjuction with a Dolby Digital stereo microphone.
What is your shooting style?
Our videographers are unobtrusive and candid. We believe in a “fly-on-the-wall” approach. The best compliment we can receive at the end of a wedding from a bride or groom is, “I didn’t even notice you were there, but I know you captured all of our special moments”.
Do you use bright blinding lights?
Nope. We use small 10-20 watt lights just to give a soft fill of light during the reception when the lighting is typically very dark.
What is your payment plan?
It’s just $300 to reserve your wedding date and then two weeks before the wedding, 50% of the balance is due. Upon completion of the video, the remaining balance is due in full.
Our wedding video packages are only a framework; they are fully customizable. At the end of the day, the video belongs to our client and we work hard to satisfy the occasional desire to mix and match features from different packages or even create a new feature.
