On August 20, 2010, I arrived at St. Elizabeth’s Church in Manhattan, New York to begin shooting a wedding for a family member. As I prepared my camera and equipment in the last pew of the church, a hispanic man entered the church from the back entrance and began undressing and talking to himself.
I immediately recognized that something wasn’t right and instead of just watching, I decided to start recording just in case things got really interesting. Sure enough, the man got onto the altar and completely stripped naked. I kept recording and called 911. Within minutes the NYPD arrived and arrested the man; he was then transported to a hospital for a psychological evaluation. Soon after his departure, the bride arrived in a white limo, and the wedding proceeded as planned.
